iPad = iPhone for Giant Ears !

So this is it. A big iPhone for $499 + data plan from $14/month. Yeee! Don’t get me wrong : this is not a Kindle or e-Book reader replacement. This is a netbook replacement. The iPad is the Apple netbook, but compatible with nothing but Apple. Not a real productivity tool (9,7 inch screen, c’mon!), more a “indulge myself” extra toy to carry around if you have big ears (to phone).
Planet tech is saying this will accelerate the shift of the media industry to digital, because it provides the best in class book reader experience so far. Well, time will tell but at $499, we’ll certainly have to wait for revision 2 or 3 to do the jump. For the most impatient, hey, you can change the background now !

Ok, book your day in your calendar : January 26th 2010, and yes, it’s a classic Apple Tuesday ! You can even bet it’ll start at 10 sharp Pacific.
So that day, finally, eventually, hopefully, God-give-me-life-until-then, Apple will announce the magic item of the year, the Holy Grail of all gadgets : the Apple Tablet ! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!
Call in sick, send snot kids to mama and pick the full blond beer pack to celebrate THE venue !
The iSlate Tablet is supposed to mix all things in one : iPod, Kindle, movie theater, cloud computer with feedback touch-screen, gaming console and … Phone ? Well, maybe.
Maybe.
Did you noticed ? In fact, that “Maybe” word is the best Apple product. Best marketed ever.
Really, you didn’t ? 
Once released, that “Maybe” will change into another Apple “well-designed-totally-user-limited-indecent-price-no-removable-battery” gadget.
My question : why do we still expect it ?
At least “maybe” this is the last big project hold by the “vertical” Steve Jobs.
