Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak seems to be a fan of the last Google phone, the Nexus One. Wise man as indeed that phone is in most aspects superior to the iPhone. The competition path is now open in the smartphones field. Apple can’t pretend anymore that other player are still copying the iPhone 2G.
Some will say that with its 100.000+ apps catalogue the iPhone remains the killer of the category. But hey, check that catalogue, 90% is just crapware you won’t pay a cent for. So yes, the iPhone still holds 90% more crap apps than anyone else around.
And the multitouch not available in the Nexus One ? Multitouch is available elsewhere, but desactivated for the US market as per a discreet agreement between Apple and Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt, former member of Apple’s board. You know, friends business.
We’re not far from the day Android killed the iPhone.
