Acer knows how to sell stuff !
Do you want the brand new Acer Aspire One Tablet 1420P or… the lady ? :-)
Anyhow. This new pup comes in a 11,6″ (HD 1366×768) touche screen flavor. Under the hood you’ll get a 1.2Ghz Intel SU2300 dual core processor, 4Gb RAM and 320MB HD. All is packed in 1,72 kg and runs Windows 7, of course (touch toy, remember).
I have to say I don’t yet see how the touch thing can really bring something to the use of an OS. While surfing the web, for example, is mostly a read-only activity in a mobile device, doing so from a computer requires producing content. Touch features are great when it comes to browse pages and link you read. But what about text input ? Paste/copy ? Files management as you do permanently on a PC ?
I don’t know.
See the following video for yourself. It’s not from the same manufacturer, but shows the same principle. So, gadget or tool ?
