Windows 7 : 32 bits or 64 bits ?

windows 7 64bits no drivers Windows 7 : 32 bits or 64 bits ?

Windows 7 comes in two flavors : 32 or 64 bits. It’s up to you to chose the one your like. But things won’t be that easy.

Check if your CPU can run 64 bits code. Then check if your printer, scanner, etc enjoy the availability of 64 bits drivers. And nope, 32 bits drivers won’t run into Windows 7 64 bits. That’s reality.

In terms of speed improvement, you can expect some, but only if you own/buy 64 bits versions of your programs. Your existing 32 bits software won’t run any way better under 64 bits OS (you to notice).

I won’t continue the black list but if you, today, have no reason not to chose a 64 bits install, you don’t have a better one to chose it.

I believe PC ecosystem is yet 64 bits capable, but not 64 bits READY, so to say.

Amen ! ;-)
