The Omnitouch is a project from Microsoft and the Carnegie Mellon Human Computer Interaction Institute.
The product is a wearable shoulder unit – the same kind you find in Sci-Fi movies – and projects a multitouch user interface anywhere. As you can see it in the following video, it can be your hand, arm, desk, wall, you name it.
Once in the market for you and me, Omnitouch technology can really be a game changer (i.e. forget about your today’s smartphone or tablet).

I was a finalist in the Microsoft Imagine Cup with this project in 2009, just before the 6th Sense came out. Ironically, it is called the 7th Sense.The concept is very similar to mine!
