Samsung unveiled the 7″ screen Galaxy tab, their own iPad-like thing.
The Galaxy is a 7″ 1.024×600 Android 2.2 pad, with half the iPad weight, but more expensive (up to $699 and around $300 with contract). It runs with a 1 GHz ARM A8 processor, 16 or 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. But not the iPad data only 3G, here you get a full 3G phone. Which makes it the biggest mobile phone ever made !
Samsung is of course not the only guy trying to catch-up with Apple on tablets. Nothing new or special to notice here, and we will see dozens of them until next holidays.
The special thing is about Android being also validated by tablets manufacturers as the alternative OS, also for tablets. Android expansion could get a serious burst here !
