With Twitter buying Tweetie (a great and famous Twitter client software) we could see a change.
TweetDeck, Seesmic, and others could really soon become out of purpose.
You can already crawl Twitter content via Google, and now Twitter will offer a great client, probably for free, and more than that, an official one. Why would you bother loosing time with extra stuff to follow your Twitter buddies ?
Sometimes a small move in the industry deeply changes the landscape.
And by concentrating the traffic around its official client, Twitter will also be able to finally serve profitable advertising.
Twitter, the coming of age.
